Are you interested in taking the whole clan on an unforgettable trip to Disney World, but not sure how to get tickets without breaking the bank?

We’ve got great news – now it’s even easier than ever to purchase those beloved Disney tickets on points!

🔷 I’ve been using credit card rewards for over 20 years and making Disney World less expensive is one of my favorite ways to use them.

All my Disney World travel is booked on some type of points or miles. You can do the same just by following these step-by-step instructions.

Then, you, too, can purchase Disney tickets with points for an economical way to share the Disney magic with your family.

Step 1 – Apply for a points-earning credit card

➡️ The first step requires you to sign up for the card_name. With this card, you can erase part or all of your travel purchases.

Card Features:

  • No foreign transaction fees
  • Earn 2 miles for every $1 spent
  • Transfer to airline/hotel partners
  • Global Entry credit
  • Lounge access

You will use your early spend bonus, plus any other points you have accumulated through spending, to erase part of your Disney ticket costs.

Personally, I love that this card gives you a taste of the Capital One lounges (with 2 free lounge visits each year) as well as Priority Pass Select access. Spending time in airport lounges waiting for your flight definitely beats finding a quiet place to sit at the gates.

Plus, you earn 2 miles for every dollar you charge – making your miles rack up faster!

And don’t worry about foreign transaction fees because there aren’t any.

After having the Venture Rewards card for a while, I was hooked and upgraded to this card.

In fact, I’ve rerouted trips in order to connect in Dallas just so I could visit their flagship lounge at the DFW airport.

But, that’s not the only benefit, there are so many I’ve used.

Did you know you can charge your monthly cell phone bill to your card and receive cell phone protection? Yep! The Venture X provides cell phone protection as long as you continue to charge your monthly bill on it.

⭐️ I have to mention Hertz’s President’s Club as well. Enjoy this elite car rental status while you hold the card. Last month in Orlando, the Hertz manager said I must take this new Volvo Polestar 2 electric vehicle car for the week I rented.

Mind you, I rented a compact SUV, but as a President’s Club member, I could choose from any in a special row of cars. Let me tell you, it sure was fun to drive! And I was able to just because I hold the Capital One Venture X Rewards card.

Of course, the Venture X also has no foreign transaction fee and it comes with 10,000-anniversary points each year starting with your 1 year anniversary.

Step 2 – Meet your minimum spending requirement

In order to qualify for signup bonuses, credit cards have minimum spending requirements in a certain timeframe.

Meet your minimum spend requirement (and pay off your credit card every month to avoid the high-interest rates on travel cards) in order to trigger the bonus points to post to your account.

My husband and I charge EVERYTHING on our points-earning credit cards. This way, we accumulate tons of points each year for free travel.

Step 3 – Purchase Disney tickets

You want to purchase Disney tickets from an authorized 3rd party reseller such as Undercover Tourist.

Once you receive your shiny new credit card in the mail, purchase your Disney tickets from Undercover Tourist – charging them to your new card, of course. Here, they will code as ‘travel’.

You cannot purchase them directly from the Disney website because there they code as ‘entertainment’, not ‘travel’.

Capital One allows you to erase travel purchases only.

Step 4 – Redeem rewards

Login to your Capital One credit card account.

Click View Rewards.

Choose Cover travel purchases – a list of your travel purchases pops up, now choose what you want to redeem your points for. You should see your Disney tickets along with any other travel expenses for the past 90 days.

Each Capital One mile is equal to one cent.

It’s that easy! You have now erased all or a part of your Disney ticket purchase using your Capital One miles.

Step 5 – Link your tickets to My Disney Experience

Link your tickets to My Disney Experience by entering your reservation number from each purchased e-ticket. Choose who to assign it to and you are good to go!

You will receive an email like the one below from Undercover Tourist with exact instructions.
