Caribe Royale Orlando is the pick of the properties offering 1 and 2-bedroom suites near Disney World. It has one of the highest ratings on booking dot com with a middle-of-the-road price tag.

Many consider it to be one of the best offsite hotels near Disney World.

This resort has tons to offer, including great family facilities such as outdoor pools, a playground, and a game room. Adults, meanwhile, will love the gym, hot tub and sports courts.

This lovely resort is home to the popular Venetian Chop House restaurant, as well as several other eateries.

A recent multi-million dollar overhaul means all accommodations here are clean, comfortable and contemporary in style, as well as offering plenty of space. 

My daughter and I stayed here in April of 2023 and enjoyed being so close to Disney World’s entrance!

2. Club Wyndham Bonnet Creek

Club Wyndham Bonnet Creek is the pick of the places with family suites near Disney World for location, as it’s actually in the park.

It’s also ideal for anyone who loves to be in the water, as there are five pools, two splash play areas, two lazy rivers and six hot tubs! 

Club Wyndham Bonnet Creek is also ideal if you want to find hotels with kitchens near Disney World.

Each one or two-bedroom suite or villa has a fully equipped kitchen. There are also impressive amenities for all ages, including mini golf, a walking path, two game rooms and transfers to the Disney parks. 

3. Residence Inn at Flamingo Crossings

Residence Inn by Marriott Orlando at Flamingo Crossings is one of the best family hotels near Disney World for those on a budget.

It’s quick and easy to reach the parks from here but feels far removed from the mayhem. The Queen suites offer great value for money and are ideal for those visiting with kids. 

This resort has a bar and restaurant, a gym and an outdoor pool.

Flamingo Crossings also offers stores and further dining options close by. A hot breakfast is served here daily (complete with Mickey waffles), and this comes free of charge with your room rate. 

I absolutely loved staying at Residence Inn Flamingo Crossings. It’s newly built as of 2021, very clean and gave me exactly what I wanted with a living area separated from the bedroom with a door.

We did not use the pool or hot tub (too busy at the parks!), but it looked like a relaxing place to hang out – complete with a pool bar. I would not hesitate to stay here again as I believe it’s one of the best suite hotels near Disney World.

4. Marriott’s Harbour Lake

The pirate-themed kids’ club at Marriott’s Harbour Lake makes this a great choice for families.

It’s also only around a mile from SeaWorld, which is ideal for those who want to experience Florida beyond the Disney parks. There’s also a mini golf course and two pools. 

A real perk of staying here is the fact that there’s free parking, plus no resort fee to pay.

This is a very attractive resort with a colonial look and modern rooms and is perfect when you don’t mind being further from the Disney parks.

5. Home2Suites by Hilton at Flamingo Crossings

Another option in the Flamingo Crossings area is Home2 Suites By Hilton.

This three-star place has all the family facilities you need for a pleasant stay, including a pool, a gym, a BBQ area and a 24-hour front desk.

Shuttles to Disney can also be booked via a third-party supplier.

You can bring your own food here at the BBQ area, which is the ideal way to save money while meeting other families.

Drinks and snacks can be bought from either the vending machines or the Target located right in front of the hotel. A hot breakfast is included with your room rate. 

I know this hotel is rated as one of the top suite hotels near Disney, but I just didn’t care for it.

For one, it was not a ‘suite’ as even implied by the name of the hotel. The rooms have kitchenettes, but they are studio suites, not suites with a door. I definitely prefer the latter, which is why I really loved the Residence Inn just next door.

Second, the breakfast was quite lackluster compared to other free hotel breakfasts. There were pre-made sandwiches and make-your-own waffles, but it just lacked quality, in my opinion.

6. Marriott’s Cypress Harbor

The spacious two-bedroom suites at this Marriott resort in Orlando are large enough to accommodate up to eight guests.

A lakeside setting gives this hotel a lovely feel, and the wellness center and spa may be much appreciated by grown-ups. You can also cook properly in your own full kitchen. 

For the kids and adults, there’s a game room, three outdoor pools, a hot tub, a sauna and a restaurant on site.

Each unit has a washer and dryer too, so you can even keep up with the family’s laundry when staying here!

If you are coming to Orlando with kids and prefer two bedrooms, you want to book Marriott’s Cypress Harbour Resort.

7. Candlewood Suites Lake Buena Vista

Candlewood Suites in Orlando’s Lake Buena Vista area is a Walt Disney World Good Neighbor Hotel and an IHG property.

With three stars, it offers a pool, a guest lounge and a gym. There’s also a BBQ area for cooking outdoors. 

Free shuttles are also provided by the property, though there is no restaurant on site.

That shouldn’t bother you though because you are just a mile away from all the restaurants, entertainment and other things to do at Disney Springs.

8. Springhill Suites at Flamingo Crossings

If you’d prefer to stay at a place offering breakfast daily, then Springhill Suites in the Flamingo Crossings area may be ideal.

This is free, as a hot breakfast for all guests is covered by the room rate. There’s also a restaurant and bar for meals later in the day. 

Stay at Springhill Suites in Flamingo Crossings and you can also benefit from larger hotel suites, a great pool complex with play equipment and a hot tub, and high-speed internet throughout. 

9. Sheraton Vistana Villages

Sheraton Vistana Villages is another property that’s close to SeaWorld and Orlando Premium Outlets while also offering shuttle buses to Disney World.

One and two-bedroom villas are available here. Amenities include a poolside bar, three eateries and several swimming pools, including a children’s pool. 

This is a four-star property that also offers a theme parks ticket service, a sunny terrace by the pools and even a small grocery store on site.

Rooms are fresh and modern, and the lakeside setting gives the resort a relaxing air for your vacation. 

When I want a large villa with two bedrooms, the Sheraton Vistana Villages is my go-to resort. In fact, we rode out Hurricane Ian here in 2022 and also came back early in 2023.

10. TownePlace Suites Orlando at Flamingo Crossings

It’s simple to plan your Disney experience when staying at TownePlace Suites by Marriott Orlando at Flamingo Crossings, as there’s a Disney Planning Center on-site.

Enjoy a daily breakfast included in your room rate. There’s no resort fee here either! 

This Orlando resort also offers an outdoor pool, a large gym and a bar and restaurant on site.

The property is also just under a mile from Walt Disney World Resort’s western entrance, and close to local eateries and stores at Flamingo Crossings. 

11. Buena Vista Suites Orlando

Buena Vista Suites Orlando offers modern, bright rooms featuring neutrals plus pops of color for added character.

Breakfast and parking are free here as well as shuttle buses to the Disney parks. 

All accommodations here are suites with a living area and kitchenette.

As well as transfers to Disney, you can take the shuttle from here to local stores. The restaurant on site here also serves great pizza, and the outdoor pool is heated. 

12. Margaritaville Resort Orlando

Margaritaville Resort Orlando has 1, 2 and 3-bedroom suites near Disney World.

In fact, some of these cottages have up to 8 bedrooms right on the grounds of this Florida Keys-themed resort.

Here, you can also find a sandy beach and a zero-entry pool for a tropical, coastal feel.  

The resort also offers more swimming pools, plus a spa and wellness center.

Dining options are available on-site at the four restaurants, which serve Caribbean, Italian and American cuisine and seafood.

Margaritaville is the ultimate themed resort. The rooms are gorgeous and have that Caribbean flair.

However, when I stayed here, our room wasn’t ready until 5:30 pm.

That gave me a bad feeling right from the start, especially as we were only staying here 1 night. Plus, the person manning the entrance to the pool wouldn’t let us into the pool bar for some food because we didn’t have a room key. It was 90 degrees and all I wanted was something cold to drink. Needless to say, I was quite irritated.

I can see why it’s rated highly though, because with all the brightly colored cottages, it’s beautiful different than anything else in Orlando.

13. Marriott Grande Vista

For a truly tropical feel and four-star facilities, book into Marriott Grande Vista. If you’re driving it’s perfect, as free parking is provided here. There’s also no resort fee, yet there are lots of facilities to enjoy.

The amenities at your disposal here include five pools, a full-service spa, a golf course and a choice of restaurants to dine at.

All accommodations come with a balcony and the eateries include a poolside bar and grill.

I’ve stayed here three times now (let me tell you that the 3-bedroom villa is HUGE) and the resort is just about perfect. Enjoy the beautiful boardwalk over the lakes that connect the resort. You will be glad you booked Marriott’s Grande Vista.

14. Grove Resort and Waterpark

Grove Resort and Waterpark offers plenty of space for families to stretch out.

Each two or three-bedroom suite has a full kitchen plus laundry facilities, and the complex has a waterpark, sunny terrace, hot tub and spa. There’s also a trio of on-site restaurants.  

The waterpark with slides and more is a real feature of this property and will keep the kids busy for days.

Grove Resort and Waterpark also received a recent TripAdvisor Traveler’s Choice award for quality.  

15. Sonesta ES Suites Lake Buena Vista

If you’d like to dine out locally during your stay as well as within the resort, Sonesta ES Suites Orlando at Lake Buena Vista is only five minutes for food from restaurants close by.

Is it cheaper to get 2 rooms or a suite?

It depends on the resort. Sometimes two rooms will be cheaper, but then you’re likely to get a bedroom only. A suite may also come with a full kitchen, plus lounge and dining areas, and laundry facilities.

So you have a lot more space. Plus, you can make some of your own meals. Therefore, a suite may cost less overall, so it’s worth checking out rates to make a decision.
