Musical Vibes For the first time ever at EPCOT, a topiary features its own soundtrack. The Groot topiary comes alive with tunes from a “Green House Mix Vol. 1” mixtape, featuring hits like “September” by Earth, Wind & Fire and “Disco Inferno” by The Trammps. It’s the perfect background score for a little dance-off as you stroll by!

Hats Off to the Horticulturists: The clever mixtape name, “Green House Mix Vol. 1”, is a playful homage to the talented horticulture team at Disney, who expertly bring these plant sculptures to life.

Leafy Details: The Groot topiary is crafted using the climbing fig, or Ficus pumila, which adapts and grows over time—just like Groot does in the movies.

Cinematic Inspiration: This particular Groot design is inspired by the adorable “Groot Takes a Bath” episode from Season 1 of I Am Groot on Disney+. Just like in the episode, our topiary Groot is both whimsical and mischievous, making it a must-see for fans of the series.

A Towering Figure: Standing at a majestic 13 feet and 8 inches, Groot makes a towering and impressive addition to the festival. Make sure to snap a picture with him towering over the greenery—it’s a sight to behold!

And for the die-hard Groot fans out there, don’t miss out on the special Groot-themed merchandise available, including everything from a Funko Pop! figure to a LEGO set perfect for bringing a bit of Groot home with you.

Groot will be hanging out at EPCOT until May 27, 2024, so make sure to visit before he returns to the galaxy! It’s a unique blend of botanical art and fan-favorite character that you won’t want to miss.
