Do Disney World hotels have free breakfast?

Considering a trip to Disney World? If you’re looking to save some money, you might be wondering if Disney World hotels have free breakfast. After all, breakfast is the most important meal of the day, and it’s not always cheap – especially if you’re feeding a family.

When you’re looking at hotels, this may be the one question that determines where you stay. After all, who doesn’t love free breakfast?

Unfortunately, Disney World hotels do not offer free breakfast for guests. However, all hotels do have restaurants that serve breakfast – and some of them even offer buffet options.

While you will have to pay for breakfast at your hotel, there are plenty of other ways to save money on food at Disney World.

For example, many quick service restaurants offer both a la carte items (re: cheaper!) as well as breakfast platters for something more substantial.

Let’s take a look at your Disney World breakfast choices.

Breakfast at Disney World

Value Resorts

While Value Resorts do not have table service restaurants, they do have quick service restaurants that offer breakfast options.

Breakfast is not included in your room rate, but there are some breakfast items that are eligible for the Disney Dining Plan (Note: the DDP is still paused at all Disney Resorts, but is making a return in January 2024). If you’re on the Disney Dining Plan, you can use one quick service credit for breakfast.

Keep in mind that if you’re not on the Disney Dining Plan, breakfast can be purchased separately from your room rate.

While the breakfast menu varies by restaurant, guests can typically expect to find options like Mickey waffles, eggs, bacon, sausage, oatmeal, fruit, pastries, and more.

Staying at a Value Resort is a great way to control how much spending money you will need for Disney World as it’s the least expensive, yet you are still on Disney property close to the action.

Breakfast at a quick service restaurant may not be as elegant as breakfast at one of Disney World’s table service restaurants, but it’s a great way to start the day without spending a lot of money.

Moderate Resorts

When it comes to breakfast at Disney World, there are plenty of choices, even if you’re staying at a Moderate Resort. All of the Moderate Resorts have quick-service restaurants that offer breakfast, and some also have table-service restaurants.

The French Quarter is the only Moderate Resort that doesn’t have a table service restaurant, but it does have a quick service location that serves breakfast.

If you’re looking for something fast, many of the quick-service restaurants offer pastries, fruit, and yogurt. For a more substantial breakfast, you can order eggs, bacon, and sausage platters.

And if you’re staying at a resort with a table service restaurant, you’ll have even more breakfast choices, including pancakes, French toast, and omelets. No matter where you stay, you’ll be able to find a delicious breakfast at Disney World.

Deluxe Resorts

One of the best things about staying at a Disney World Deluxe Resort is the breakfast options.

In addition to the quick service restaurants, there are also table service restaurants that offer breakfast. Most deluxe resorts also have character dining experiences, which are a great way to start the day.

The breakfast buffet at the Grand Floridian is one of the most popular in all of Disney World. Guests can enjoy a wide variety of breakfast items including pancakes or french toast, eggs, bacon, sausage, oatmeal, pastries, and fruit.

A breakfast character meal at ‘Ohana in Disney’s Polynesian Resort is also very popular and for good reason. The delicious meal is served family style and Mickey, Pluto, Lilo and Stitch come to join in on the fun.

One of my personal favorites is breakfast with Minnie Mouse at Topolino’s Terrace at Disney’s Riviera Resort. You’ll enjoy a wonderful meal while enjoying some quality time with one of your favorite Disney characters. No matter what your breakfast preference is, there’s sure to be an option at one of Disney World’s Deluxe Resorts that will suit your needs.

Deluxe Villas

If you’re staying at a Deluxe Villa Resort at Disney World, you’ll have plenty of breakfast options available to you since the villas are usually associated with a Deluxe Resort.

In addition to the quick service restaurants, you’ll also find table service restaurants that offer breakfast.

And if you’re looking to save some money, all of the Deluxe Villa Resorts have kitchens or kitchenettes where you can prepare your own breakfast. So whether you’re looking for a quick and easy breakfast or a more substantial meal, you’ll find what you’re looking for at a Disney World Deluxe Villa Resort.

In the parks

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, and there’s no better place to enjoy a delicious breakfast than at Disney World.

The parks offer a variety of breakfast options, from quick and easy snacks to sit-down meals. And with so many great places to eat breakfast in the parks, you’re sure to find something to suit your taste.

Disney Springs

While most people associate Disney with its theme parks, the company actually has a number of other businesses as well.

One of these is Disney Springs, a large outdoor shopping and dining complex in Orlando, Florida. There are plenty of things to do in Disney Springs and breakfast at one of the many restaurants there is a great way to start your day.

The majority of these breakfast places are casual, meaning you won’t have to wait in line for an hour like you would for some of the more popular attractions in the parks.

Additionally, you can enjoy some truly unique breakfast dishes that you can’t find anywhere else. For example, at the Homecomin’ Kitchen, you can get Southern-style breakfast items like chicken and waffles or shrimp and grits.

So if you’re looking for a different way to experience Disney, consider having breakfast at Disney Springs instead of spending a day at the parks.

Disney Refillable Mug

One of the best Disney World deals and ways to save money at mealtimes is the Disney refillable mug. For $21.95, you get a reusable mug good for your entire stay. It has an RFID chip at the bottom that is programmed to expire 2 weeks from purchase.
